I have always liked Tic Tacs... they are a nice size and, as Cheryl Tiegs points out in her circa 1986 commercial, they are the 1 ½ hour / 1 ½ calorie breath mint. But I got to wondering today whether anyone is as obsessed with the smell of a Tic Tac box as I am. I love it so much I actually keep the box around for awhile just to catch that last lingering scent.
A brief search of the interweb tells me that maybe I'm not alone out there. Take Gwennan, for example. She is on the site Fragrantica searching for a perfume that smells like Tic Tacs. Not the smell of the box, per se, but I will count her anyway. Oh, and witness Facebook... there is an entire page focused on the smell of the Tic Tac box (logically titled "The Smell of Tic Tac Boxes"). Hmmm, maybe I'll "like" it... that would bring the like count to 49. Ah, and there is yet another another Facebook page also dedicated to that heavenly smell (simply entitled "I Love the Smell of Empty Tic Tac Boxes). Fifty likes!
So, there you have it... the official count for people that love the smell of Tic Tac boxes, including me, Gwennan and 98 Facebook likers, is exactly 100. Anyone else out there?
